Types of Alutech garage doors

The Alutech Company offers two types of garage doors, which differ from each other by the door leaf balancing system.

Classic Series Garage Door

The maximum size of this series door is 5000x3085 mm.

Door weight is counterbalanced by torsion springs above the door leaf.

Features

1. Alutech garage door is supported with the adjustable coupler which allows turning two parts of the torsion shaft against each other when mounting the door. This ensures even tension of cables.
2. The standard garage door set includes a special device (spring break device), which is installed on each torsion spring. In case of faulty springs this device locks the torsion shaft and staves the door leaf off falling. This device comes at no extra surcharge.
3. Intermediate hinges of stainless steel have high anticorrosive properties. Furthermore the hinge is given a shape of “bent sheet” which provides its high strength characteristics and provides a secure connection of door panels.
4. The door design supports mounting the adjustable roller brackets. Brackets allow bettering the door fit in the door opening, thereby providing additional heat and sound insulation. Brackets are made of corrosion-resistant materials (stainless steel and aluminum). These materials are not subject to corrosion, which ensures reliable operation of the doors during their lifetime.
5. At the gate use special lower supports, those protect the bottom seal from deformation during operation of the door, thus increasing its service life and preserving the hermeticity of the Alutech door. Additionally, lower supports ensure accurate leveling of panels while installing the door.

The minimum headroom required for the garage door installation is only 100 mm with manual control and 125 mm when using the electric motor drive.

Standard Series Garage Door

Maximum door of Standard Series: width - 3500 mm, height - 3085 mm.

The distinctive feature of this door is that the door leaf weight is balanced by spring tension. Extension springs provide easy door travel and keep it from spontaneous lowering.

Extension springs with Standard Series Garage Door are installed in between the door leaf and the vertical track profiles - two on each side.

Extension springs can significantly reduce time for the door mounting. The entire process of door mounting takes only 2, 5-3 hours.

Standard Series Garage Doors can be mounted in almost any garage opening. The required minimum headroom to mount this door is 10 cm, which is very convenient to replace old iron swinging gates by modern Alutech sectional door.

Features

1. Duplex spring system adds extra safety feature to the door characteristics. This system provides protection from rebound (spring release of the track profile) in case of breakage of one of the springs. A unique way to fix the springs is protected by patent.
2. The door design supports mounting the adjustable roller brackets. Brackets allow bettering the door fit in the door opening, thereby providing additional heat and sound insulation.
3. Convenient spring tension adjustment. There is a possibility to strengthen or to weaken the tension of springs directly during mounting or further operation.
   
4. Concealed installation of end profiles gives an additional attraction to the assembled door. The upper and lower profiles are not visible from outside of the door.
   

Garage Door Control Types

Manual control

Due to the door leaf weight compensation by spring mechanism the door can be opened and closed manually.

To open the door there is the double-sided handle, and to ease up closing of the door there is the rope on the inner door side.

In addition, there is the special block to manually open the door. At the same time opening and closing the door is carried out manually with the rope slung over the block and fixed to the lower panel of the door. We recommend using the block for the door over 2 meters height and greater than 15 square meters.

Automatic control

Sectional doors equipped with automatic motor drive have a higher level of comfort. In bad weather, there is no need to leave car or home to open or close the door. Just click the remote control button and electric motor drive will open or close the door.

The ceiling type of electric motor drive is used to automate garage doors. Electric motor drive together with the drive rail is mounted directly under the ceiling. Sectional doors are set in motion through the belt (chain), located in the drive rail.
